We were playing around with virtual backgrounds and played our new game ROTATE.
We also made up an interactive game FETCH IT
This game starts with finding an item like a toothpick. Whoever brings one back to the screen first gets to choose the next item to search.
It was fun and allowed us to move a little.
Creative Christians spent 3 weeks creating their own quilted hot pads.
They cut, ironed, and sewed the pieces together.
At the end of class we did a little gardening by adding worms to our garden
Friday class they learned how to operate a sewing machine. They each cut four squares and then straight stitched them together. The squares will be downed together to make a quilt!
Back on Track!
Creative Christians had a quiet relaxing class as we read our UMW books. They will receive certificates for reaching a goal of reading 5 books in class. They also did a classroom scavenger hunt to locate supplies in the classroom
Students had three focus exhibits Each containing unique creations. Animal sculptures with a Noah’s ark mural, Pour paintings, and recycled sculptures
Ms Susan taught the children how to make fried pies during this year‘s fall party
Creative Christians finished their Noah's Ark mural for the October 20th Art Show
Students participated in Operation Christmas Child. Each student picked a child the same age. They wrote a Christmas note and filled the box with goodies provided by Joanne Battershall. UMW will pay the postage.
New students doing new things
We made repurposed sculptures.
The creations were all unique
Castles, robots, Ferris wheel, a carnival swing, a butterfly, a cardinal, and a peacock.
We worked some more on our animal sculptures.
Students used repurposed plastic bottles, grocery bags and clothes hangers as a frame for their animals
During summer camp many of the students started their animals so they were ready to add a second coat of paint.
It was a fun first class of the semester
